About us
At the heart of our restaurant is Chef Arash Sodagaran, a culinary artist with roots in Iran. Born in Iran, Chef Arash began his journey in the kitchen as a teenager, balancing his studies with his passion for cooking. His early experiences include working as a chef assistant in some of Tehran's most renowned restaurants, such as Hani and Nayeb. After completing his education, Chef Arash immersed himself in the world of culinary arts, attending numerous food workshops and courses. He also expanded his expertise by studying Hotel Housekeeping at Hotel Evin, where he earned his diploma. In 2009, Chef Arash relocated to Kyoto, Japan, where he broadened his culinary horizons by working in Persian and Indian restaurants across Kyoto and Tokyo. During this time, he also dedicated himself to learning Japanese and English, both of which he now speaks fluently. In 2013, Chef Arash realized his dream by opening Arash's Kitchen in Kyoto. His dedication, talent, and hard work have made Arash's Kitchen a beloved establishment, consistently ranked among the top three restaurants in Kyoto for the past two years.
