About us
At the heart of Arash’s Kitchen is Chef Arash Sodagaran, a passionate culinary artist with roots in Iran. Born in Iran, Chef Arash discovered his love for cooking at a young age, gaining early experience in renowned Tehran restaurants such as Hani and Nayeb. His dedication led him to deepen his skills through professional workshops and formal training, including a diploma in Hotel Housekeeping from Hotel Evin. In 2009, Chef Arash moved to Kyoto, Japan, where he refined his craft while working in Persian and Indian restaurants across Kyoto and Tokyo. During this journey, he also mastered Japanese and English, allowing him to connect with guests from around the world. In 2013, his dream became reality with the opening of Arash’s Kitchen in Kyoto. Today, the restaurant is loved by locals and international travelers alike, proudly ranking among Kyoto’s top restaurants and offering an authentic blend of Persian, Iranian, Indian, Turkish, and Arabic cuisine.
